Canvass for Corbyn – then come and watch the Euros afterwards. That is the offer from the former Labour leader, now Independent candidate for Islington North.

He has invited everyone who come out door-knocking on Sunday (June 16) back to the Bedford Tavern at 160 Seven Sisters Road, N7 7PT afterwards to watch England play Serbia in the team’s first fixture of Euro 2024.

Of course, you have to actually go out canvassing first – with sessions staring from the Bedford Tavern at midday, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm that day.

Other canvassing sessions leading up to Sunday are as follows:

Thursday 13 June

Friday 14 June

🕚 12pm, 2pm, 4pm and 6pm

Mr Corbyn said: “We still have thousands of doors to knock on in Islington North.

“You don’t need to have canvassed before – you’ll be given a quick briefing on the spot and will then head out door-knocking with other volunteers in the constituency.

“Our campaign is about people coming together to build a better future – help us win that better future, together.”
