Battle is joined between Jeremy Corbyn and Labour in Islington North, with both claiming victory.
Labour is saying there is little support for Mr Corbyn in the constituency he has held for more than 40 years.
His team have responded:
“Labour’s got the funds, the data, and the machine working for them. We’ll be honest – it’s a close race but we’ve got something unbeatable: the support of people … who want to come together to build a better future.
“Our initial canvass results show a neck-and-neck race between Jeremy and the Labour candidate.”

Indeed. But look at this:
Would any of the major parties be able to attract such a crowd?
This Writer is fairly sure I saw one of my own constituency’s candidates out in an open space, holding an event, recently. Maybe five or six people turned up.
And what do people in Islington North think of their Independent candidate?
Here’s someone with their own, personal answer:
Team Corbyn is taking nothing for granted, though:
“The only way to outmatch Labour’s operation is through volunteer-power.
“If enough of Jeremy’s supporters step up, hit the streets and knock on doors, we will win. But if we stay home, Labour could sneak a victory.
“With less than three weeks to go, any time you can spare will make a difference. You don’t need to have canvassed before – just show up and you’ll be given a quick briefing before heading out with other volunteers in the constituency.”

The team also had this to say: “This is a critical moment. Without you, Labour could seize the lead.
