It’s time for a Jeremy Corbyn mega-weekend of canvassing update: he’s halfway there.
Not bad for an Independent with no party machinery to back him up, eh?
In an email to followers, he stated: “I’m so proud of what we achieved today.

“We set ourselves an unprecedented challenge to knock EVERY door in Islington North.
“And – thanks to hundreds of you showing up today – we’re half-way there.”
He added: “I’m honoured to be part of this mass movement – for a fully-public fully-funded NHS, a Green New Deal, an end to the occupation and genocide in Palestine – for peace, justice and equality.”
And he called for canvassers to join him tomorrow (Sunday, June 23, 2024) to “help us make history”.
Sessions will be preceded by rallies with guest speakers as follows:
11am Campaign Office, London Fashion Centre, 89-93 Fonthill Rd N4 3JH
Speakers: “I’ll be speaking alongside Kevin Courtney, and then heading out to canvass.”
4pm Phillip Noel-Baker Peace Garden, Elthorne Park, N19 3NF
Speakers: “Hear from Len McCluskey, Kate Hudson, Ben Jamal and myself before our last door-knocking sessions for the weekend.”
