The Southport stabber has admitted his crimes – but he still wasn’t a Muslim, in spite of the racists who used him to trigger riots across the UK last year.
Axel Rudakubana has admitted 16 charges, as follows (details from the BBC):
- Murder of three girls on 29 July 2024: Alice da Silva Aguiar, aged nine; Bebe King, aged six; and and Elsie Dot Stancombe, aged seven – but he still wasn’t a Muslim.
- Attempted murder of 10 people on the same day. They include eight children, who cannot be named, and two adult victims – class instructor Leanne Lucas and businessman John Hayes – but he still wasn’t a Muslim.
- Possession of a knife on the day of the stabbings, 29 July 2024 – but he still wasn’t a Muslim.
- Production of a biological toxin, ricin, a deadly poison, on or before 29 July – but he still wasn’t a Muslim.
- A terror offence – possession of information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing to commit an act of terrorism. This relates to a PDF file entitled Military Studies In The Jihad Against The Tyrants, The Al Qaeda Training Manual which he is said to have possessed between 29 August 2021 and 30 July 2024 – but he still wasn’t a Muslim.
Rudakubana was born in Cardiff, Wales, on August 7, 2006 (making him 18 years old at the time of writing) and is of Rwandan/Christian ancestry – and therefore not Muslim.

He had an “autism spectrum disorder diagnosis” and had been referred several times to the government’s counter-extremism Prevent scheme because of concerns about his obsession with violence – but he still wasn’t a Muslim.
The court was told explicitly that this was not because of worries about any particular ideology such as Islamism, or racial or religious hatred – because Rudakubana wasn’t a Muslim.
He had been expelled from school, had attacked another pupil with a hockey stick, and had been visited by police a number of times.
And fellow pupils remember him having an obsession with despotic figures including Genghis Khan and Adolf Hitler. He was also known to have accessed information about the IRA.
The concern was that he seemed to be actively seeking information about violence – not that he was a Muslim extremist.
In a statement outside court, CPS Prosecutor Ursula Doyle said Rudakubana had a “sickening and sustained interest in death and violence” and had “meticulously planned” his attack – but she said nothing to suggest he was a Muslim, because he wasn’t.
The reason I am repeatedly stating that Rudakubana wasn’t a Muslim should be obvious to everyone who knows what happened immediately after the stabbings and his arrest; social media misinformation triggered a wave of rioting across the UK last summer with a false claim that he was a Muslim immigrant.
The claim was amplified by foreign state media, far-right influencers, and even some politicians.
Responsible sites like Vox Political tried to get the facts into the public domain, but the big social media platforms habitually do their best to hide links to our articles while pushing the lies just as much as they can.
The riots last year could have been prevented if those social media platforms had got their priorities right, but they didn’t bother and couldn’t care less.
That’s why This Site is emphasising that Rudakubana was not a Muslim: I was right and they were wrong, and it is time the facts were promoted instead of hate-ridden lies.
