Starmer's attitude to Israel: if not 'fence-sitting' - maybe electioneering? Do we want to be led by a political chameleon?

Councillors have quit Labour over Keir Starmer’s direction.

Bolsover District councillors Chris Kane, Emma Stevenson and Sandra Peake are all now listed as “independents”.

Peake cited concerns over changes to welfare along with a lack of support for WASPI women and the victims of the Post Office Horizon scandal.

Peake told the BBC: “I’ve got principles, it’s not the Labour party I joined over 30 years ago.”

“The rich are getting richer, and the poor are getting poorer,” she added.

Apparently the Labour leadership’s only answer was that the party was having to make “tough choices” in government.

Tough for whom? We don’t see Keir Starmer struggling because of “tough choices”. The axe always falls on the poor and defenceless with this lot*, doesn’t it?

*”This lot” being Tories, Starmer’s Labour, the Liberal Democrats – basically anybody who has had any power at all over the last 40-odd years.
