The Conservative Party is institutionally RACIST and the media don’t care. What does that tell you?

Last Updated: May 6, 2018By

Racism is hard-wired into Conservatives. This poster was from 1964.

To This Writer, it suggests that ordinary people have to make the difference.

Look at the state of this tweet from Tory Chairman Brandon Lewis:

The Conservatives won Pendle by reinstating Cllr Rosemary Carroll, following her suspension for posting a racist attempt at humour.

So much for Mr Lewis’s ‘Respect’ pledge – again. Someone really needs to ask him about that gimmick. Has he tried to enforce it in any way at all or are Conservatives still allowed to say whatever they want – about anyone they want?

Keir Mudie, writing in the Mirror, would probably say he hasn’t:

“It’s the latest episode in a dismal tale.

“April 5: A Calderdale councillor calls Muslims “parasites” and resigns.

“April 20: A candidate in Watford is suspended over support for far-right extremists.

“April 24: Isleworth candidate stands down after calling on the Government to “revoke Muslim immigration”.

“April 27: Newcastle candidate is suspended for vile anti-Islam tweets. Then there’s the Wakefield candidate dropped for saying “it’s f***ing Karachi round here”.

“And a Tory in Enfield was suspended for sharing a picture showing bacon hanging from a door, captioned: “Protect your house from terrorism.””

It isn’t just in local politics, either:

“In March, MP Bob Blackman apologised for sharing a Facebook post from a hardline US anti-Muslim site.

“His fellow Tory MP Philip Hollobone called the burka “the religious equivalent of going around with a bag over your head with holes for eyes”.

“David Cameron and Michael Fallon both had to apologise to a South London imam for linking him to Islamic State. And Zac Goldsmith’s London mayoral campaign was described by his own side as doing lasting harm to Tory relationships with Muslims in the capital.”

And it’s not just Islamophobia.

It’s anti-Semitism – on which the Conservative Party (and right-wingers in general) is far, far worse than Labour.

And it’s the general racism of Tory policies.

If you think the Windrush scandal is over, think again – and remember the Conservative Party has not changed a single aspect of the policies that led to the isolation, persecution, imprisonment and deportation of innocent UK citizens.

You read that right: For all the talk, the policy is still in place and still victimising the innocent.

That’s Tory racism for you – inflicting serious, actual, harm on communities across the UK for more than eight years now.

Ah, but they have ‘the establishment’ on their side and ‘the establishment’s media and the ‘royal family’, whatever that is and the ‘royal media’ and the ‘church of thingy and whatsit’ and ‘God’ and for a lot of people that counts for an awful lot: everything in fact! The conditioning is so deeply engrained now it’s lauded as tradition and heritage and sovereignty and everything that is so nice and jolly about this green and pleasant and ‘civilized’ and always morally right little island! Waking up is going to be so very hard for so many to do! I have very elderly relatives that would surely ‘die’ if woken up: it just would not be ethical: difficult times we live in!
