“I hate politics” – Guy Debord’s Cat

Last Updated: November 4, 2014By

I don’t hate politics but I’ve heard a lot of people use that phrase as a response to any mention of the word “politics”, writes the Cat.

The other phrase I often hear is “I’m not interested in politics” or “I’m apolitical’. So these people have no opinion on anything? Is this what they’re trying to say?

For today’s postmodern politicians, these words are a godsend. Legions of politically disinterested people, who avert their eyes from what’s happening in the world or in their locale, give our imperial masters the space to behave like feudal overlords. Are you happy with that?

For the rest of this article – which includes some extremely direct comments about the kind of people who can’t be bothered with politics – visit Guy Debord’s Cat.

If you have no interest in politics this means:

*You have no interest in getting a fair days work for a fair days pay
*You don’t care if you’ll be able to see a doctor if you become ill
*If your kids have a bad education then so be it.
*If the government arrests people without trial meh.

By all means hate politicans – but don’t voluntary disenfranchise yourself – vote for a party that offers something different – hell just do the Ali G thing and vote for the candidate with the most stupid name…
