Thanks… however I misread slightly… it’s a compliance interview to discuss change of circumstances… though how her circumstances/entitlement could change at 90+ is a whole other cup of tea!

Okay – I’ve changed the article a bit to reflect that. It’s still bad that she’s been asked to attend, after all.

Hey, they have to help the Royal Mail stay in business somehow. Sending out futile, pointless letters for the postman to deliver is a real brainwave.

Of course it could be a leak of intended policy for after the election. Oi plebs, back to work…

It’s an automated process that I don’t touch. Have you accidentally unsubscribed?

No I wouldn’t have done that, your emails brighten every day, I really miss beasts site as well. getting emails makes it a little more personal and I feel connected, I suffer with post traumatic stress disorder so I am less connected and alone!

    Thank you Mike!

The Beast is only posting less frequently; he hasn’t gone for good.

If they take the pension away from a 90+ old grandmother, it’ll ricochet right back on the DWP.

She isn’t paid by Jobcentre Plus, she’s paid by the Pension Service, as I am. The only thing that could have put her at risk from JC+ is if she was paid DLA, but that (currently) finishes at age 64. Anyone receiving a pension and/or Pension Guarantee Credit shouldn’t have any business with JC+. As PGC is means tested any unreported income could be construed as benefit fraud, but again, any investigation surely would have to be instigated by the Pension Service.
