The following email is from the Conservative Campaign HQ; it’s packed with the most jaw-droppingly blatant lies and it marks the launch of their election campaign, writes kittysjones.

Your friends need to see this:

“When we came into office in 2010, Britain was on the brink of bankruptcy.

“People were losing their jobs and families were worried about the future. So we took difficult decisions to get our economy back on track.

“Five years later, thanks to the measures we’ve taken and the hard work of the British people, the deficit has been halved, new businesses are opening up across the country, and there are a record number of people in work, with the security of a pay packet.

“Our plan is working – and we need to stay on the road to a stronger economy. Please share our poster today and let everyone know. [Link deleted by

“Britain has come a long way in five years. We can’t go back to Labour’s way of more borrowing, more debt and higher taxes. Instead, let’s stay on the road that has brought us this far – the road that is securing a better future for everyone in our country.

Please share our poster today and let your friends know the important choice facing Britain this year.

“Thank you,

Now, kittysjones has become quite a controversial figure, as some people have taken issue with her writing style and response to critics. That being said, we can all see that this Tory email is riddled with lies. In her article, Ms Jones takes these lies apart, and those of you who are minded to see what she has written can find it on her own blog site.

I needed some help with GCSE creative writing. I now know who to turn to!

What is worrying is that many people believe these thoroughly dishonest liars.

Why don’t labour refute the “labour left us in a mess” claims? I despair. I struggle to find any respect for them due to this and other failures to refute! I’m the last person who wants another Tory or Tory led government but please please Labour, get some spirit. They haven’t (that I have seen) grabbed the opportunity of Mervyn Kings admitting the crisis was global and no government could have done anything about it…….it’s so depressing…..

They have. They reported the Tories to the OBR and ONS, the Tories were officially rebuked for lying. But the media are muted, which doesn’t help

I know a café round near me, very clean, it has opened four times with different people and it is now been closed for over a year! It’s all very well saying new business are opening, but if you don’t have the customers to sustain the business, how can that be called progress? I have seen more and more buildings with ugly metal shutters down permanently. Admittedly I live in Hull, which is not a thoroughfare to anywhere else, thus more unemployment, and less businesses, and just as many sanctioned Victims!

The Tories as a class seem blind to the need for demand. Perhaps this is what makes them Tories. It’s clear that through our evolution there’s been several different levels of men, of mankind at different stages of development, of alternative strains perhaps, living in the same eras, side by side. Perhaps this explains the Tories, they genuinely cannot grasp some concepts as they are a breed of mankind different from and less than ourselves. We must hope they die out soon :-)
