Hypocrite Cameron is happy to cut police and council services – except in his own constituency

Last Updated: November 14, 2015By

Are we all, honestly, so apathetic that we’re willing to let David Cameron get away with this?

It is now clear that he has wanted cruel cutbacks in both police protection and public services ever since he moved into Downing Street – as long as they don’t affect anybody who might possibly vote for him.

This is contemptible behaviour.

Cameron no longer deserves the respect of any UK citizen, on any level – because he has made it perfectly clear that he is not acting in the national interest at all. The only interests on his mind are his own.

It is clear that this philosophy has infected all aspects of Conservative Government policy.

Therefore we should not be demanding his resignation, which we undoubtedly deserve – but that of his entire self-serving government.

We won’t get it, though.

So we’ll have to fight for it.

At least he’s given us all a very large stick with which to beat him.

David Cameron privately lobbied to stop the closure of police stations in his constituency as the force tried to find £60m of savings, the BBC has learnt.

The disclosure has prompted Labour to accuse him of “jaw-dropping hypocrisy”.

Number 10 said Mr Cameron had acted in his capacity as a local MP who believed Thames Valley Police could make savings without affecting front-line services.

This week it emerged Mr Cameron, MP for Witney in Oxfordshire, is involved in a row over cuts with the county council.

The PM had written to Oxfordshire council leader Ian Hudspeth saying he was “disappointed” at proposed cuts to elderly day centres, libraries and museums.

The Tory-run council said it had little choice because its grant had fallen sharply – from £194m a year in 2009/10 to £122m this year.

When asked prior to the election ‘would I vote for Cameron?’ my reply was ‘never, I believe he tells lies and he is a hypocrite.’ I have not changed my mind.

“Number 10 said Mr Cameron had acted in his capacity as a local MP” right because David Cameron MP and David Cameron Prime Minister are two people…

      In operational terms, they are.
In practical terms, because he is Prime Minister, Cameron’s constituency duties are passed down to somebody else, as I understand it.

All the hallmarks of a selfish and greedy bully. Doesn’t care about inflicting misery on others, but doesn’t like it when that same misery is inflicted upon himself.

His hypocrisy knows no bounds! Anyway, it is not only the people of Oxfordshire who vote for him but those in other Tory held shires who will not benefit from his local”largesse”. Best to let him carry on digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself then perhaps someone will bury him (politically of course!) in it:-)

If only the hole he is digging was for himself. But it isn’t, it is a hole for the public and their services. He will finish his term in office and crawl off to a directorship or something when it’s over and we will be left with the detritus.

    Another example of NIMBY Cameron:

Fracking could provide up to 74,000 jobs and result in £3.5 billion of investment, Mr Cameron said.

“If there’s an opportunity to extract clean, low-cost gas from shale in the UK we would be making a great mistake if we didn’t enable this industry to develop,” he said.

Ministers this week said that local communities will be allowed to keep tax generated by fracking.

Mr Cameron said that there would be “a serious amount of money” going into communities which accept shale.

NIMBY Cameron said that the Government is also considering “whether, because of the disturbance in the early part of a well being dug, there should be cash payments to householders and I’m quite in favour of that…

Actually saying to people ‘there’s going to be this small well drilling for shale gas and in order to make up for any inconvenience here is a cash payment’.”

Cash payments wouldn’t make up for the fact the water table will be poisoned by the chemicals used during fracking.
