A classic satirical take on Iain Duncan Smith. Now we'll be creating them about Stephen Crabb - and they've already started.

Has anybody seen Iain Duncan Smith out and about lately? Does he still have armed guards?

FAREWELL then, IDS. After years of implementing cruel Tory attacks on the disabled, you have resigned over cruel Tory cuts to the disabled. Aye, right.

I don’t believe the hype about his replacement. Stephen Crabb, the new Work and Pensions  secretary, supported every welfare cut Iain Duncan Smith made.

Nobody should be fooled about the bust budget, either. Even without the planned cut to Personal Independence Payment (PIP), the Tories have pursued a vindictive series of policies against sick and disabled people.

None of these are set to be reversed. Look at their record. The Tories cut disability benefits  by £30 a week just a fortnight ago.

Well sure, but isnt the thrust of Ian Duncan smiths argument that all his cuts were ideologically driven, and they are setup in such a way as to provide a reward driven incentive as a replacement. i.e. All the various permitted work, and tax credit schemes for disabled, which can still be open while under ESA, Universal credit etc.. While Osbornes cuts are not setup with such incentive. IDS is following a basic biopsychosocial principle of behaviorism, although his version is far too simple and based on rat studies rather than humans.

Although its good he made benefits flexible to work, overall its hard for those of us with a brain to agree with Duncan Smiths policies, because his view of motivation is far too simple for the disabled group, and it imposes the idea that paid work is the only primary contribution to society.

With a massive 3rd sector this is clearly false and that is the issue that really needs challenged, but these people we elect are just too idiotic to comprehend this.

There are huge issues with your appraisal of the Gentleman Ranker, but I’ll leave it to better-qualified folk to put you right.

Any security guards employed to protect this toxic individual are now being paid for by him, …I hope.

LOL, very interesting that one Mike! Of course, he’s still an MP for Chigwell (or whatever it’s called) ? That’s a point, apart from the PM, who else in the cabinet WOULD have armed guards?
