Lord Tebbit: Happy to use EU migrants when he needed them; happy to deport them now

Last Updated: March 3, 2017By

Tebbit’s life: He used to be Margaret Thatcher’s ‘boot boy’ – now he is mostly used to scare birds away from his garden and to dribble nonsense about immigrants.

This is typical of the usual two-faced Tory attitude, isn’t it?

If there is a resource to be exploited, they will – even if it is against their own prejudices to do so.

That’s why Lord Tebbit employed immigrant workers to look after his disabled wife, even though he clearly does not believe the UK should protect the rights of people from foreign countries.

Now he wants those rights rescinded. Perhaps he always did.

I’m sure he would have preferred to make British citizens feel as unappreciated as Ms Ziskova.

A Conservative peer who accused the House of Lords of “thinking of nothing but the rights of foreigners” employed immigrants in his home.

Lord Norman Tebbit, former minister under Margaret Thatcher, paid a number of immigrants, including Europeans, to carry out household tasks and care for his disabled wife — despite having condemned peers during a Brexit debate for attempting to protect the rights of “foreigners”.

One Czech woman, Marketa Ziskova, said she worked in the former Conservative cabinet minister’s household in 2007 as a relief carer for his disabled wife, during which she claimed she was paid minimum wage and told to address the couple as “Lord” and “Lady”.

“We had to call them Lord and Lady Tebbit. It felt like they owned us. It was an unpleasant experience.”

Tebbit always was a poisonous and toxic individual. Clearly he hasn’t changed. As far as I am aware his wife is still alive, so it would be interesting to know whether this hypocrite still employs foreign people. I sympathise with Marketa Ziskova, I am sure it was a most unpleasant experience working for this odious and loathsome character.

Why has this hypocrite suddenly popped up to annoy us again?

Well it is easy to misunderstand what was actually said when you have a blinkered viewpoint, Tebbitt was 100% correct because it seemed to be the lords was far more concerned about the rights of foreigners in this country than the nations own citizens, there is nothing wrong or bigotted in pointing this rather strange position out.
