Jaguar Land Rover to halt production for a week BECAUSE OF BREXIT

Now will people believe that Jaguar Land Rover is having to take hard decisions because of Brexit?

This Site has come under criticism over previous JLR-related stories about business decisions influenced by Brexit.

Can we agree that there is no doubt about this one? Or are some of you determined to ignore the words for the company’s own press release?

Britain’s biggest carmaker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) will halt production at its UK plants in April due to potential disruption caused by Brexit.

The firm, which has previously warned about the impact of Britain’s withdrawal from the European Union, will pause work at three of its UK plants.

JLR employs just under 39,000 workers at sites including Castle Bromwich, Solihull and Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, and Halewood on Merseyside.

“There will be an additional week of production stand-down [from the] 8-12 April due to potential Brexit disruption,” Jaguar Land Rover said in a statement.

Currently there is a market stagnation for most things and cars no exception. Where diesel engine cars are concerned there has been additional slow down because of the sudden awakening to Nox contamination in the exhaust fumes that has kept punters away from what were the preferred economic car purchase. No one wants to be left with an accelerated residual value at end of life that is also showing up in Lease and Contract hire deals. Those manufacturers that have not invested in the new green technology are falling behind in the slip stream of the more advanced tech and importantly investment. All in all a lot of this noise is surrounding reduced volumes globally which has been hijacked by the globalist media to darken and blame the Brexit situation and decision. Not just cars… everyone is on hold just feels like an easy political answer to help the No Brexit globalist cause

The EU gave JRT millions of euros to build and open a new factory in Europe.
How many factories do you need? Seeing that car sales in Europe are falling year on year.

Methinks that this is more to do with nobody having a clue, rather than Brexit per se. It needn’t and shouldn’t have been like this.
