‘Get ready for Fascism!’ satire show declares. This Site has been doing that for years
Warning signs of fascism: the UK’s government displays every one of these.
Schrodinger’s commentator: This Writer feels both heartened and disheartened by Late Night Mash‘s segment, ‘Get ready for Fascism!’
The reason?
I’ve been doing that – and warning about it for years. Since 2013, according to my files, although this piece is from 2020, after Boris Johnson’s government started accelerating the process towards turning full-fascist.
And Mash is only on Dave, a TV channel with only a small audience. It’s good that the segment has been broadcast, but only a few people will have seen it, and fewer still will accept that it is a comment on what is actually happening – despite the factual information it contains.
This Site also has a small audience. But we might be able to expand the number of people seeing this – if those of you who do read this would actually share it (or at least the video clip) with your own friends and followers.
