The pickup: these refugees were only able to cross the Channel because of failings in the Conservative government’s Brexit agreement with the European Union – the Tories created the problem that is now their biggest priority.

Apparently this is getting very little media attention – which is odd when you consider the subject matter:

It seems the Tory government’s Brexit agreement with the European Union is responsible for creating the problem of migrant boats crossing the English Channel and bringing people to our shores illegally.

Shouldn’t our mass media be reporting this? They have assiduously covered the increasing numbers of people coming here illegally, after all.

The Brexit agreement meant the UK had no “returns” agreement with the EU – because it chose not to have one – and this led to the increase in the number of illegal migrants, in moves supported by illegal gangs.

Perhaps our media are neglecting this because it means the Tories have created their own problem – and mentioning the fact may tarnish their chances, come election time.
