So there you have it; Starmerism is the new Stalinism.

A new North West regional executive has been elected unopposed – because nobody else was allowed to stand?

The region is now fully focused on supporting the leader.

The regional executive will allow no other ideology than the leader’s.

Stalinism forcibly purged Soviet society of what it saw as threats to itself – admittedly in a stronger way than we’ve seen in Starmerist Labour, but the parallel is clear.

No ideology was tolerated other than the leader’s, and all his subordinates were devoted to supporting his rule.

The only difference is that Starmerism isn’t socialist.

And that means that Starmerist Labour has finally cut all ties with the party it grew out of (like a tumour). That organisation was democratic and socialist, and this is neither.
