Crackdown on support for Palestine as Western ‘democracies’ ban free speech

Last Updated: October 13, 2023By Tags: , , , , , ,

Protesters in France defy the ban on support for Palestine. It seems the French authorities broke up the demonstration, attacking their own people with weapons, after this image was taken. How long before the UK government does the same here?

What happens when your government supports a genocidal, far-right-wing foreign regime, demands that you support its actions in spite of the transparent lies it and its client media are feeding you… and you refuse to comply?

This:

Note that this is not outlawing support for Hamas but for Palestine. It is now illegal, in those countries, to stand up against the genocide of an entire country.

So much for the Western democracies.

I understand people are already being arrested, here in the UK, for wearing Palestinian colours and/or voicing support for the people who are trapped in Gaza while Israel bombs it into rubble.

I wonder how long it will be before they come for me.

Is this the country you want? A totalitarian dictatorship where standing up for justice, freedom and peace is a crime?

It’s what you’ve got, whether you wanted it or not.

Why oh why is no-one asking WHY the Palestinians and Hamas are so pissed off with Israel that they want to fight back and attack them?? Israel have not stuck to the agreement on the Balfour declaration and are illegal settlers in this land.

Over the years the UK has been active to ensure free speech and democracy continues in varying degrees which is one of the many reasons we entered WWII and other conflicts. In fact WWII was created by the restrictions on free speech and removal of democracy in 1930s Germany and the eventual rising of Nazism and we see this reoccurring in many areas of the world today.

We ignore the imposition of restrictions at our peril. Yes, the actions of Hamas were and are horrendous, but the degrees of retaliation of Netanyahu are too some extent equally horrendous. Horrendous is horrendous no matter who or what are doing it and not supported in some instances and not in others. Wherever horrendous actions occur they have to be countered and never accepted, but the degrees of countering have to be measured and one horrendous action is never better than another horrendous action.

So there now three fascist dictatorships in Europe and Germany has conveniently forgotten its nazi past by criminalising any protest action against Israel!

UK has for the last 13 years been a fascist state and I look forward to seeing how the fascist home office responds to the proposed weekend demonstrations of support for Palestine!

Democracy is now non existent in Germany, France and UK and instead we have three fascist dictatorships!

4 DEC 1948: The New York Times published a letter by a group of Jewish dignitaries, including Albert Einstein and political theorist Hannah Arendt, protesting a visit to the United States by Menachem Begin and denouncing his Herut (Freedom) party on the grounds that it was, as they wrote, “a political party closely akin in its organization, methods, political philosophy and social appeal to the Nazi and Fascist parties.” Was Einstein ‘the wrong sort of Jew’?

And this: Sigmund Freud on Zionism, Palestine, the Jewish State of Israel and Arab-Jewish Relationships
“Sigmund Freud, one of the world’s most famous Jews, a leading Jewish intellectual of his era along with Albert Einstein, and the father of modern psychoanalysis, rejected political Zionism and a Jewish state that imposed its will on the native Palestinians.”

    ANTI-SEMITIC PRICK.

      Who’s an anti-Semitic prick? ME?

There is nothing anti-Semitic in opposing the genocidal actions of a foreign government.

If you are attacking me for that, then I could respond by telling you to take your hate elsewhere.

      The Palestinians are semitic…
Albert Einstein, Hannah Arendt, Sigmund Freud, and millions of actual Jews up to the present day who condemn the actions of the Israeli government and many – but by no means all – of the Jewish inhabitants of Palestine are anti-semitic? And Pricks? Resorting to crudity is not a good look.

You only have to look in the Oxford or Collins dictionaries to realise that Semites refers to a noun quoting “member of race including Jews & Arabs.
        and
“a member of the race of peoples supposed to be descended from Shem, 2 Genesis 10:21 v13” And also of the son of the bondswoman(Hagar) will I make a nation because he is thy seed(of Abraham)

        His name was Ishmail.

Oh, this old chestnut YET AGAIN!

Anti-Semitism is a term that was coined by an anti-Semite, relatively recently, to refer specifically to Jewish people.

Not to any of the other Semitic peoples; just to Jews.

Signify your understanding and that you will not misuse the term again, please.
