If you live in the North East vote for Jamie Driscoll to be your mayor!
This should be a no-brainer: if you live in the North East vote for Jamie Driscoll to be your mayor.
Mr Driscoll has done sterling service as the metro mayor of the North of Tyne Combined Authority – to which he was elected as a Labour Party representative. He split with Labour due to political differences with that party after Keir Starmer decided to make it a right-wing, neoliberal organisation like the Tories.
As a result of these differences, he was kept off the list of Labour candidates to stand for the North East mayoralty, forcing him to become an Independent in order to seek a chance to continue the good work he’s doing.
He is now seeking election as the new North East Mayor, and it seems the only people in his way are tribal Labour voters who haven’t realised that Starmer is making fools out of them.
Mr Driscoll is by far the best candidate for the job, as Owen Jones elaborates below:
Drop everything you're doing and do this one thing.
Message everyone you know in the North East.
Relatives, friends, colleagues, exes. Whoever!
Ask them to vote @MayorJD.
The polling shows he can do it. The Tories have no chance. Vote with your conscience! pic.twitter.com/do506NuUmn
