How are you enjoying This Site? The new-look Vox Political needs your support and here are some very good reasons:
After several years in a ‘traditional’, text-based blog format, Yr Obdt Srvt unveiled a bright new look for Vox Political with more colour and more features – with more new additions to come.
But these superficial aspects would mean nothing without the incisive articles that have made Vox Political one of the most influential political websites covering the United Kingdom.

In the last week alone, This Site has:
Debunked a right-wing journalist’s claim that forcing people without jobs into slave labour on our streets is anything close to being a good idea.
Attacked Tory plans to deprive disabled people of the benefit they need, in order to meet the extra day-to-day costs of living with their conditions.
Demonstrated how legacy media like the BBC are letting the government off the hook with regard to policies that harm ordinary people.
Revealed the hidden human rights-destroying agenda behind the Tory government’s new law allowing deportations of asylum-seekers to Rwanda.
And those are just a few examples of the insights you can get from reading This Site!
And it’s all for free – if, as commercial TV used to say, you give time and attention to a few words from This Site’s sponsors. I know advertising is controversial, but This Writer takes steps to ensure that adverts appearing here are not intrusive, and every click helps ensure Vox Political‘s continued existence.
Ad-blockers are frowned upon here – unless you are willing to contribute independently by setting up a regular payment via PayPal. If you’re sufficiently well-off, you may wish to do so anyway.
To keep the wolf from the door, please consider making a one-off or continuing donation here:
A reader last month suggested a continuing donation of £4 per month, in the belief that if 1,000 of you – and there are still more than 1,000 of you – made similar regular donations, This Writer could earn a fairly good living. I’m all for that, because then I wouldn’t have to take as many adverts for the site, too.
I won’t ask you to replicate that reader’s other generous act, which was to pay me the equivalent of a year’s worth of such payments in arrears (but it would be gratefully received).
