I understand that Corbyn supporters have asked the Green Party to stand down its candidate to give him a clear field, free of other left-wing candidates who would split his voter support (Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives are all right-wing parties now).
Labour seems to have given up hope of taking the seat again, having fielded a former private health boss, Praful Nargund, as its candidate for Islington North:
Bizarre comment from Keir Starmer. Surely everyone in a democracy has a right to comment?
βOn a campaign visit in Leyland, Lancashire, Sir Keir said: βI think Jeremy Corbynβs days of commenting on what the Labour Party is doing are over.βhttps://t.co/w6dfCUaZ0n.

Still, you wouldn’t think it if you heard the rhetoric coming from Keir Starmer or the local Labour Party – from which Mr Corbyn was expelled as soon as he announced his Independent candidacy (this is normal; Labour rules mean members cannot campaign for candidates from other parties or independents, let aloneΒ be the other candidates). Take a look at this nonsense from Islington North Labour:
It will sadden most Islington North residents that Labour has turned its back on a man who has represented the constituency well for forty years. https://t.co/cRP6AYJgYt

What nonsense.
The headline is that Jeremy Corbyn is on course to win Islington North as an Independent MP, days after announcing his candidacy.

No complacency.
He could win but absolutely nothing can be taken for granted.
Hope Green Party will stand down or go easy and concentrate resources elsewhere.
What polling? I would appriciate being pointed towards it. Who carried it out? The source for the above post is some guys “projection”.
General election polling is always “some guy’s ‘projection’.” The source is clearly labelled in the article.
