Democrats have rubber-stamped Kamala Harris’s US Presidential candidacy so it seems she’ll be taking on Donald Trump in the election in November.
Nobody else has publicly stepped forward to challenge Ms Harris since Joe Biden dropped out of the campaign last week.
The Associated Press reckons she has received endorsements from more than the 1,976 Democratic delegates needed to win the nomination in the first round of voting.
Party delegates will make it official with a roll call vote ahead of next month’s Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, but that is a formality.
