12 things you should know about Starmer's "Things Will Get Worse"

Starmer thinks he has answered ‘cronyism’ claims – but has he?

Keir Starmer thinks he has answered ‘cronyism’ claims against him and his government – but has he?

According to the BBC,

Sir Keir Starmer has defended the government’s approach to recruitment.

The prime minister said his government was keen to bring in the “best people” as quickly as possible after returning to power last month.

They all say that.

It’s funny how the “best people” are always the best friends (financially or otherwise) of the politicians hiring them.

I wonder whether we’ll be allowed to monitor the work of these “best people” and find out for ourselves whether it is good enough.

Oh, and Starmer also explained away the Downing Street security pass that was given to Labour lord Waheed Alli – it was for “transition work” for the new Labour government after it was elected in July.

Well of course – that makes it perfectly understandable and acceptable. Right? Right?

It seems Starmer has a lot to learn about open government.
