The Labour government has announced that it is creating a new organisation to ensure that public money is spent wisely – but isn’t this ‘Office for Value for Money’ a waste of cash?
Its boss is apparently set to work one day a week for £950 per day. That’s £49,400 for just 52 days’ work. What would he have to achieve, in order to justify that?
Judge for yourself:
It seems the Labour government doesn’t know what constitutes value for money. Perhaps they should install somebody who does.
I’d do it, for one day a week – if I could work from home!
