Selective reporting: Guardian kowtows to Starmer with news headline
This is exactly why you need an uncensored independent source of news – and that’s exactly why you’re not about to get it while the Guardian kowtows to Starmer
TheĀ Graun published an article stating that prime minister Keir Starmer is the most right-wing of all Labour MPs.
Then one supposes that somebody at that hack-rag realised that Labour is still being presented to the country as left-wing, even though it isn’t – so they changed the headline so it now says Starmer is theĀ least left-wing of all Labour MPs.
But whoever was responsible for it, either by accident or design, neglected to change the link wording on the online version of the article, so we could all see it still proclaiming his Toryism for all to see.

Skwawkbox‘s analysis of the article – and the changes it has undergone – is frankly hilarious. That is, it would be hilarious if it didn’t show that the media are constantly misleading us in their political reporting:
Both versions of the article then, laughably, go on to claim that āParliament has moved decisively to the leftā because of the election of Starmeroid MPs, who like their boss are comfortably to right of old Tories on many issues andĀ lean police-stateĀ if notĀ outright neo-fascist, as the governmentās currentĀ war on journalists and activists who expose Israelās crimesĀ and hisĀ eager participation in Israelās genocide and war crimesĀ demonstrate. The headline change led to accusations that the Guardian had been pressured by Starmerās office to change the headline to protect his (already rightly trashed) image.
This is hardly the Guardianās first outing in terms of protecting the Labour right or colluding with government. In 2018, as Starmer and coĀ intensified their campaign to sabotage Corbynās Labour electorally by pushing for the party to announce a second EU referendum, the paperĀ published claims that ā92% of [Momentum] members want Labour to back second voteā. The claim was entirely untrue ā 92% had said they didnāt want the party to back Theresa Mayās poor Brexit deal. The paper also joined voraciously in the stateās and right-wing pressās attacks on Corbyn, indeed it was regarded by many as one of the worst offenders because of its posturing as a left-liberal rag.
It’s like a conspiracy of censorship.
Good reporting, such as happens here, onĀ Skwawkbox, onĀ The Crispin Flintoff Show, or on any number of other online politics-based sites, is being suppressed to leave supposed “mainstream” media “content”-shovellers free to funnel this drivel into your brain.
Why do you put up with it?
