Is Israel trying to destroy its own ceasefire with Gaza?
Here’s a rhetorical question for you: is Israel trying to destroy its own ceasefire with Gaza?
Of course it is – with help from Donald Trump [pictured, with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu].
He’s trying to say that if a hostage exchange doesn’t happen tomorrow (Saturday, February 15) in which all of Hamas’s remaining hostages are returned to Israel, then the ceasefire should be cancelled – among other things.
Here’s Owen Jones with a video report on that situation:
Did you notice the claims that Israel is violating the ceasefire by refusing to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza? That is supported by other reports, like this one:
Tareq Abu Azzoum reports heavy machinery and mobile shelters are still lined up on the Egyptian side of the border because Israel is not letting them enter Gaza, in violation of the ceasefire agreement. pic.twitter.com/hgfa1SM3yn

And this:
"Aid agencies are alarmed over the inconsistent flow of supplies [into Gaza]… Palestinians lack shelter & access to the most basic necessities such as food, medicine and heating" pic.twitter.com/t3sx5QIXUt

Then there are the continued murders:
Hani Mahmoud reports on how Israel has repeatedly violated the terms of the ceasefire, including the killing of 3 Palestinians in Gaza yesterday who were just trying to return to their homes. pic.twitter.com/WV7poK4wqM

It seems clear that the Israeli government and military is continuing to do whatever it likes, in the knowledge that Trump is supporting them – and falsely accusing the Palestinians of wrongdoing that is simply not happening.
Agreed?
