Israel is starving Gaza to death. Why are we just watching?
Israel has provisionally accepted a six-week phased hostage and ceasefire deal which would begin with the release of wounded, elderly and female hostages – if Hamas will agree to it. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
But does it include allowing humanitarian aid, including food, into Gaza? And will Israel honour it if it does?
Or is it just an attempt to shift blame for the famine now gripping the Gaza Strip onto Hamas, if that organisation refuses the deal for any reason?
This Writer would not trust anybody in Israel further than I could throw a bear, and here’s why:
"We could end this starvation tomorrow if [Israel] would just let us have access, but it's not being allowed…"
"This is the fastest decline in a population's nutrition status ever recorded… [C]hildren are being starved at the fastest rate the world has ever seen…" https://t.co/8QImtZ6c9h

Is that message clear? If not, let’s consider one example of the how the famine Israel has caused is gripping Gaza’s children:

Meanwhile – because no ceasefire has been agreed yet, this is still going on:

Experts have come to a clear conclusion:

Politicians are also seeing the facts:

Perhaps the most damning indictment against the Israeli government is the fact that its own citizens oppose its actions:

In the face of all this, Israel’s atrocities continue:
Around 20 Israelis entered northern Gaza yesterday and "established an 'outpost' in the style seen commonly in the West Bank, building for several hours without the army or police interfering." That has been the first step toward an illegal settlement. https://t.co/8AT7UooCCt

It seems clear that all Israel’s claims that it would withdraw from Gaza, after effecting regime change there by removing Hamas, were lies.
So it should be easy to understand why I doubt the word of any Israeli politicians about a ceasefire. How about you?
