Son of Auschwitz survivors responds to Margaret Hodge’s ‘Nazi’ claim

Vile: Margaret Hodge.

This is red hot. It’s just a shame that Norman Finkelstein has already been denounced as the ‘wrong kind of Jew’ – by the kind of Jew that does that sort of thing.

The rest of us know that he talks a lot of sense, and this is more of it:

I have personally received several letters from Labour’s disciplinary mechanism, and I can confirm that they were not delivered by stormtroopers, nor was I rounded up (all one of me) and dumped in a ghetto with others of my ethnic group. I have not been forced to do hard labour; I have not been starved. To the best of my knowledge, there has been no attempt to strip me of all my belongings that may be of any value and gas me to death.

The reason comparisons of Jews with Nazis are part of an anti-Semitic trope is that they indicate a failure to understand what Jewish people underwent during the Shoah (not the Holocaust; we’re referring to that specific part that happened to Jews).

It seems clear that Margaret Hodge does not understand it either.

I don’t see any disciplinary procedure sending her on an “education” course. It seems suspension – or expulsion, as Norman Finkelstein demands – is the only way.

That is a useful clarification; the distinction between the Holocaust and the Shoah. Perhaps more Jews should be making this plain.

Since 1995 Marg has been know by her title “Fuming Maniac”. Her vicious hatred of Jeremy Corbyn is understandable, losing the 1995 vote, she received 2%, he received 98%. They say she was already known as the stupidest person in Parliament, but she has steadily declined. Sad to see.

Her love of using the Holocaust when lying has not received any better reception this time. But at least, unlike Ken Livingstone, she has no historical facts to back up her insistence Labour members are allowed to compare things with the Nazis.

Pity no one recorded her calling him a “fucking Nazi” in 1995. Some used to say that was myth. Now no one sane does…

Let me ask you one question
    Is your money that good
    Will it buy you forgiveness
Do you think that it could
    I think you will find
When your death takes its toll
    All the money you made
Will never buy back your soul
