Orthodox rabbis speak up – in SUPPORT of Jeremy Corbyn

This is a turn-up for the books. After 68 rabbis wrote a letter attacking Jeremy Corbyn over Labour’s anti-Semitism row, 29 have signed a letter expressing a different view.

Here’s Skwawkbox:

The Union of Orthodox Hebrew Congregations is an umbrella organisation representing over a hundred congregations and educational establishments in Greater London. In a statement issued by twenty-nine leading rabbis from the group last week, they … distanced themselves from “irresponsible claim[s] in the media that the Jews of Britain are outraged towards the Labour party’s respected leader Jeremy Corbyn”.

The statement said: “They [the “irresponsible claim[s]]have spread rumours that the Jewish population are considering leaving the country for fear he becomes Prime Minister.

“We have no connection with these irresponsible remarks.”

This is excellent news and I’m proud that the Orthodox Rabbis have spoken out against the slander and fear mongering by the so-called ‘Jewish establishment ‘ which clearly does not represent the most pious and faithful to the real traditions.

I think we can be sure of a deafening silence from the media on this as they are clearly the ‘wrong sort of Jews’ again.

Aye, sadly, who is hearing them? I have read some disgusting comments about Orthodox Jews, from other Jews (one, at any rate).
