Oh, Colin! Losing freedom of movement through EU airports is EXACTLY the Brexit you voted for!

Poor Colin Browning! He clearly seems to have voted for Brexit without having the faintest idea how it would work.

For example: leaving the EU means UK citizens no longer have the right to freedom of movement between EU countries and their own.

Officials had warned before Brexit happened that this could lead to long queues in airports like Schiphol, near Amsterdam.

But that seemed to have passed over Colin’s head as he tweeted the following, without a sign of irony:

You can see for yourself the number of replies he has received.

But you really need to read a few. You can find them by searching the Twitter hashtag #OhColin.

There are a lot along these lines:

How about this? See:

Trouble is (for Colin), this is the Brexit reality:

This has been confirmed by Schiphol’s official Twitter feed:

But there are some there, it seems, who still can’t avoid joining in:

But there is a downside and here it comes:

Fortunately that’s not true.

But there are millions of them out there.

And they’re all in line to have surprises as nasty as that experienced by Colin.

haha, am I sympathetic, no, do I find this funny, yes, will it get even funnier, oh definetly, what would be a worthwhile job in the eu, a border post checking uk blue passport holders who have waited for 55 minutes due to there voting and backing of tories, priceless, maybe he should go to boris and ask him to build a bridge from England to Holland

I’m very well travelled and was always secretly proud of the privileges a UK passport could bring.
Sadly with Brexit and Tory greed, the UK’s circle of friends will end up being an inward spiral and my passport not worth the paper it’s printed on.

Colin voted for more stringent border controls. How unfair that these will apply to him too, after December. Get used to what you voted for.

Schipol was training new staff it wasn’t only Colin, Olga fritz Maurice freya and all the other people using the airport from all over the world were effected by the training of new staff, we didn’t vote for the training and it is bugger all to do with us voting to leave.

That’s right – but Brexiteer Colin seemed to think the fact that he did vote to leave meant he shouldn’t have to put up with it. I’m glad you agree with the rest of us that his attitude was entirely unreasonable and he deserved the fun that everybody made of him.

Perhaps, instead of obsessing about Brexit, Colin could have opened his &*%$ing eyes and looked at the way the UK is treating its vulnerable citizens, it’s s**t jobs, it’s terrible environmental pollution, it’s unaffordable rail fairs, its unaffordable housing, its 22% in relative poverty, its 34% of children in relative poverty and actually voted for a bleeding’ government that would have done something about it!

Colin suffers from head up rectum syndrome.

everyone had the same problem, not just British so no we didn’t vote for it, it was new staff being trained which created the backlog for everyone, nothing to do with us so no we didn’t vote for it at all.

That’s right – we didn’t vote for it. But that’s not what Colin stated. His comment was that he didn’t vote for Brexit only to have to wait in a queue for 55 minutes. In that, he was wrong. He voted for Brexit regardless of the consequences.
