Join Jeremy Corbyn and his guests for a pre-polling day rally

Will you join Jeremy Corbyn and his guests for a pre-polling day rally in Islington North?

The event at Highbury Fields will begin at 8pm, and will feature special appearances by Mick Lynch, Owen Jones, global thought leader Bisi Williams and poet Hannah Stanislaus, along with music from Holly Henderson and Jermain Jackman.

It will be followed by what Mr Corbyn described as “that all-important Get Out The Vote leaflet drop”.

In a message to supporters, Mr Corbyn said: “We built this campaign from scratch with the help of thousands of people like you. People who believe that poverty, inequality and division are not inevitable. That there is an alternative. That a better world is possible.

“On Thursday, let’s show our political class that there *is* support for a different kind of politics – for a redistribution of wealth, ownership and power, for a society that cares for each other and cares for all.

“Let’s win in Islington North.”

Tomorrow – July 4 – is polling day, and candidates like Mr Corbyn are hoping voters will make it a true “Independents’ Day”.

But this can only happen if voters are encouraged to come out and support Independent candidates like him.

In Islington North, no fewer than 15 ‘Canvassing for Corbyn’ sessions will be held, starting at 11am; 1pm; 3pm; 5pm and 6.30pm at the Campaign Office – London Fashion Centre, 89-93 Fonthill Road N4 3JH, Cafe Metro – 4 Junction Rd, Archway N19 5RQ, and Lizzie’s on the Green – Newington Green, N16 9PX.

Campaigners are also leafleting in Tube stations and schools, to make sure everyone remembers to vote for Mr Corbyn:

Tube stations: Finsbury Park, Arsenal, Tufnell Park, Archway, Canonbury, Highbury & Islington – Wednesday 5.45-7pm, Thursday 7-9am (just show up!)

Schools: see website for locations – Wednesday 3.20-3.45pm, Thursday 8.30-9am (please RSVP)

These are the last steps of a very long journey that Mr Corbyn could never have made alone. Help him finish it – and help put a genuinely independent voice into Parliament, to hold the party machines to account.
